This year, we’re so proud to honour
Ian Ross, an amazing member of the Ancaster Men's Slo-Pitch League and our very first player to reach
40 years with us! We want to give a big congratulations to Ian as he celebrates his incredible 40th season on the diamond.
Ian joined the league in its second season back in 1985 and hasn’t looked back since. He’s been a steady presence, bringing his skill, dedication, and passion to every game. Over his 40 seasons, Ian has taken on many roles and still contributes as an umpire today.
Wearing the number 7 jersey for the Trash Pandas, Ian’s love for the sport really shines through. His journey started alongside the league’s early days, and over the decades, he’s become a beloved figure among all of us. Reaching 40 years of playing ball at 80 years young is no small achievement, and Ian’s endless enthusiasm for the game inspires everyone.
